MagNa celebrates its first consortium meeting
The MagNa project has reached a new milestone with the successful celebration of its first consortium meeting, held on 21 October at AITASA’s facilities in Tarragona.
The meeting brought together representatives from across the project consortium, providing an ideal setting for collaboration, knowledge exchange and scientific progress. It also offered partners the opportunity to strengthen their cooperation and align their efforts for the next stages of the project.
During an intensive day of work, the MagNa partners presented and discussed the progress achieved in each work package. These exchanges highlighted the strong commitment shared by all consortium members to developing an innovative system for recovering valuable raw materials from seawater brines. By contributing to the more efficient use of these resources, the project aims to help reduce Europe’s reliance on imports and support the transition towards a more sustainable and circular economy.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to review the project’s current developments, discuss upcoming activities and ensure that the different work streams remain closely coordinated. At the end of the session, the consortium visited the wastewater treatment plant where the MagNa pilot system is currently under construction. This visit provided partners with a closer look at the implementation of the pilot and represented an important step towards the project’s future testing and demonstration activities.
